3. Not Planning Around Bad Weather –
Thunderstorms and lightening are common in Walt Disney World due to the Central Florida climate and weather pattern. Certain attractions and entertainment with outdoor portions will shut down for safety reasons if there is lightening within one mile. Guests should always be aware of the weather as they don’t want to waste time waiting on a line or waiting for a show to begin when it might be likely to be closed or cancelled due to weather. Two attractions that tend to be shut down often in bad weather are Test Track Presented by Chevrolet in Epcot and Fantasmic! in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If guests notice that there is inclement weather, they can save time by coming back to these attractions at a later time to avoid them being closed or cancelled and wasting time spent waiting on line.
