Walt Disney World is already the most magical place on Earth, but as devoted Disney fans, we can’t help but dream about ways to sprinkle even more pixie dust on our vacations.
With the parks constantly evolving—introducing new attractions, immersive resorts, and unforgettable dining experiences—there’s always something new to love. But what if Disney added even more magical experiences?
Here are nine things we wish Walt Disney World would offer. Some are practical, some are wishful, and all are designed to make an enchanting trip even better!
9. Restrooms on Disney Transportation Buses
Disney transportation is a lifesaver for guests hopping between parks, resorts, and Disney Springs. But there’s one minor issue: no restrooms on buses.
If you’ve ever taken Disney’s Magical Express (before it was discontinued), you might remember the onboard restrooms, which made long rides from the airport much more convenient.
Buses are the primary mode of transportation for many guests, so adding restrooms would be a game-changer. Families with little ones, in particular, would benefit from this small but much-needed addition!
8. A Chance to Stay in Cinderella Castle
Staying inside Cinderella Castle is every Disney fan’s dream. The Cinderella Castle Suite is one of the most exclusive accommodations in the world—so exclusive that you can’t book it.
It was initially designed as a private retreat for Walt Disney himself but was later transformed into a once-in-a-lifetime experience for select guests.
Years ago, Disney ran a promotion where lucky families were randomly selected to spend the night in the royal suite. While the offer was temporary, many fans longed for another chance to experience the ultimate fairytale stay.
Unfortunately, this offer is no longer available, and there are no plans to reintroduce it. However, staying in Cinderella Castle remains one of Disney’s most exclusive and magical perks, reserved for very special occasions.
7. More Ride Queues Like Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Waiting in line is an inevitable part of any Disney trip, but what if it didn’t have to be so tedious?
Dumbo the Flying Elephant changed the game by introducing a play area instead of a traditional queue. Guests receive a pager and can let their little ones explore an interactive circus playground while they wait their turn to ride.
This system is brilliant, and we’d love to see it implemented across more attractions—especially for rides with notoriously long waits.
Imagine a Star Wars-themed play area for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run or an Under the Sea playground while waiting for Under the Sea ~ Journey of The Little Mermaid. The endless possibilities and wait-time experience could be just as magical as the rides!
6. Year-round free Dining Promotions
Every year, Disney releases its Free Dining Promotion, allowing guests to receive complimentary meals when booking vacation packages.
But here’s the catch: the promotion is only available during specific times of the year and often comes with eligibility restrictions.
What if free dining was available year-round? Guests could enjoy iconic Disney snacks and meals without worrying about the cost. Families would have an easier time budgeting their trips, and dining reservations would become an even more exciting part of planning.
It might not be the most realistic wish, but hey—this is a dream list, after all!
5. A Haunted Mansion-Themed Resort
Disney’s themed resorts are some of the most immersive hotels in the world, but there’s one idea that fans would love to see: a Haunted Mansion Resort.
Imagine eerie yet elegant guest rooms inspired by the famous attraction—picture interactive ghostly elements, from flickering lights to portraits that “follow” you. Cast members entirely in character as ghostly hosts would complete the experience.
While there are no official plans for a Haunted Mansion-themed resort, it remains one of Disney fans’ most requested ideas. With Disney’s expertise in immersive storytelling, it’s fun to imagine what a haunted stay could be like!
4. “Pay Your Age” Days at Disney Parks
Remember when Build-A-Bear’s Pay Your Age promotion went viral? What if Disney did something similar for one magical day each year?
Children would pay their age in dollars for a ticket. Adults could receive tiered discounts based on their age bracket. The event could coincide with a special celebration, like Disney’s anniversary or a seasonal festival.
While it might be a logistical nightmare, this promotion would undoubtedly create buzz and make Disney vacations more affordable for families—even if only for a day! However, Disney has not introduced such a promotion, and no current plans exist.
3. An Expanded Monorail System
While the Disney Skyliner has been a fantastic addition to Walt Disney World transportation, the monorail is undeniably magical.
Right now, the monorail connects:
- Magic Kingdom will select resorts (Grand Floridian, Contemporary, and Polynesian).
- EPCOT to the Ticket and Transportation Center.
But what if more resorts and parks were connected via monorail? Expanding the monorail to include locations like Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and even Disney Springs would make traveling around Disney property seamless, efficient, and even more futuristic.
While no current plans exist to expand the monorail system, it remains a beloved part of Disney transportation.
2. More Disney Villains-Themed Events
Let’s be honest: villains are some of the best characters in Disney history. From Maleficent to Hades, Ursula, and Scar, villains bring new excitement to Disney storytelling.
With Disney’s new villain-themed show, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios being a smash hit, we can help but think of the endless possibilities the Disney Villains can bring. While Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom has been a hit, villain-focused events have much more potential.
A full-scale Villain Halloween event could feature exclusive rides, shows, and merchandise. A villain’s character dining experience would allow guests to interact with their favorite baddies. Even a dedicated Disney villain’s land would be an exciting addition.
With Disney’s continued efforts to offer after-hours events, it’s exciting to think about the future of villain-based experiences.
1. Free Birthday Admission to Disney Parks
Years ago, Disney ran a Free Birthday Admission promotion, allowing guests to visit for free on their special day—or receive a gift card equal to a one-day park ticket.
The result? Guests planned more birthday trips to Disney, and families booked extra experiences like dining packages and resort stays. Everyone got to experience a little extra pixie dust on their big day!
Unfortunately, Disney no longer offers free park admission on birthdays. However, special birthday perks like free birthday buttons, small discounts, and special offers still make birthdays at Disney parks extra magical.
Disney constantly finds ways to innovate, but there’s always room for more magic!
Whether it’s a Haunted Mansion Resort, restrooms on buses, or free birthday admission, these ideas would elevate Disney vacations even further.
Which of these ideas would you love to see at Walt Disney World? Let us know what’s on your Disney wish list!
