There’s no denying it – Walt Disney World is the most magical place on Earth. But, as devoted Disney fans, we can’t help but dream of even more ways to sprinkle some extra pixie dust into our vacation experiences. With the constant evolution of the parks, new attractions, and immersive resorts, we have plenty to love. Yet, there’s always room for a little more magic, right?

Here’s our list of 9 things we wish Walt Disney World would offer. While some may be a bit of wishful thinking, it’s fun to imagine these magical additions!

9. Restrooms on Disney Transportation Buses

If you’ve ever taken Disney’s Magical Express, you know it has restrooms, making long rides to and from the airport much more convenient. So why not add restrooms to the Disney World transportation buses? While the buses do a great job of ferrying guests between the parks and resorts, sometimes the kiddos (and adults) might find themselves in need of a pit stop during those longer rides. Having restrooms on board would make trips smoother and help avoid uncomfortable situations—especially for families traveling with little ones. It would be a small change with a big impact on guest comfort!

8. A Chance to Stay in Cinderella Castle

Staying in Cinderella Castle’s Suite is like winning the Disney lottery—it’s the most exclusive accommodation on Disney property, and only a few lucky guests have ever experienced it. Years ago, Disney ran a promotion where a family was randomly selected each day to spend a night in the royal suite. While it was a limited-time offer, it left many of us dreaming of what it would be like to wake up in the heart of the Magic Kingdom.

If Disney brought back this magical promotion, imagine the excitement it would spark! Staying in the iconic castle would be the ultimate bucket-list experience for any Disney fan.

7. More Ride Queues Like Dumbo the Flying Elephant

Waiting in line is often part of the theme park experience, but it doesn’t always have to feel that way. Dumbo the Flying Elephant’s queue is the perfect example of how Disney could make waiting more enjoyable. Instead of standing in a long line, guests are given a pager and can let their kids play in a circus-themed playground until it’s time to board the ride. It’s genius! Not only does it keep little ones entertained, but it also helps everyone avoid standing outside in the Florida heat.

We’d love to see this concept applied to more attractions, giving guests a chance to rest, play, and have fun while waiting for their favorite rides.

6. Free Dining All Year Long

Every year, Disney offers its popular Free Dining Promotion, which allows guests to enjoy complimentary meals as part of their vacation package. However, the promotion is only available during select dates and comes with specific eligibility requirements. But what if Disney extended this beloved offer for the entire year? It would certainly make vacations more affordable and magical for families.

Plus, who doesn’t love the idea of indulging in Mickey-shaped treats and gourmet meals without worrying about the bill? Year-round free dining would be a game-changer for Disney fans!

5. A Haunted Mansion-Themed Resort

With Disney expanding its roster of immersive resorts, like the new Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, we can’t help but dream of more themed hotels. Top of our list? A Haunted Mansion-themed resort! The spooky, playful vibe of the Haunted Mansion attraction would make for an incredibly unique and immersive resort experience. Imagine staying in ghostly quarters, complete with eerie hallways, interactive haunted portraits, and cast members dressed in character as the mansion’s famous ghosts.

The mansion’s lore, combined with Disney’s knack for storytelling, could make for one of the most sought-after resorts on the property.

4. “Pay Your Age” Days at Disney Parks

We all remember when Build-A-Bear ran its wildly popular “Pay Your Age” promotion. Guests could purchase a bear at a price equal to their age, and the response was overwhelming. Could you imagine Disney offering something similar? A one-day event where park admission is based on your age could draw enormous crowds and offer a rare opportunity for families to experience the parks at a reduced cost.

While it would likely require some logistical planning (Disney crowds can be large enough already!), the promotion would be an unforgettable way to celebrate a day at the parks with an extra sprinkle of affordability.

3. An Extended Monorail System

While we’re excited for the Disney Skyliner, we still find ourselves dreaming of an expanded monorail system. The monorail is one of Disney World’s most iconic modes of transportation, gliding smoothly from resort to park with a hint of futuristic charm. Expanding the monorail system to connect more resorts, especially those along the Skyliner route, would make getting around Walt Disney World even easier and more efficient.

Imagine hopping on the monorail from your resort and making quick stops at all the major parks without ever boarding a bus!

2. More Disney Villains Events

Villains have a special place in our hearts. They are the characters we love to hate or maybe just love! Disney has dabbled in villain-themed events, like the Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom, and they’ve been a huge hit with fans. But we’d love to see more events focused on these devious characters.

Whether it’s meet-and-greets with our favorite baddies, villain-themed attractions, or even special villain shows, there’s so much potential for more villainous fun. After all, it’s the villains who make Disney stories exciting, and they deserve the spotlight every now and then!

1. Free Birthday Admission at Disney

Years ago, Disney ran a promotion where guests could visit the parks for free on their birthday. If they already had a ticket, Disney would give them a gift card equal to the cost of a one-day park admission. This magical offer was a huge hit, making birthdays at Disney even more special. We’d love to see this promotion return, giving guests the chance to celebrate their big day with a little extra pixie dust.

A birthday visit to Disney is already magical, but adding free admission or a special perk would make the experience even more unforgettable. Who wouldn’t love to feel like a Disney VIP on their special day?

Final Thoughts

While Walt Disney World is already filled with magic, these nine wishes would make an already incredible vacation even better. Whether it’s enhancing guest comfort with restrooms on buses or adding dream-worthy experiences like a Haunted Mansion-themed resort, Disney fans can always dream big. After all, with Disney’s constant innovation, who knows what magical surprises could be on the horizon?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
