9 Things We Wish Walt Disney World Would Offer

Walt Disney World is definitely the most magical place on Earth, but we are greedy!  We still dream of more and more that Disney could offer to take things over the top.  There are so many things that are wishful thinking requests, but here is our list of 9 things that we wish Walt Disney World would offer us:

9. Restrooms on the buses.

The Magical Express buses have restrooms on them, which is extremely handy.  It would be awesome if the Disney World transportation buses also had restrooms so that kiddos would have a place to go when on the long bus ride.  Things can get uncomfortable quickly if you realize that they have to go after you are already on the bus.

8. The ability to stay in Cinderella Castle.

Staying in the suite in Cinderella Castle is one of the most desired stays on property. Only a small number of guests have ever stayed there.  We really wish that Disney would bring back the promotion where they selected a family each day to spend the night in the castle.  That would be such a magical experience and would make so many dreams come true.

7. More ride queues like Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

We love the ride queue for Dumbo the Flying Elephant.  There is a play place where kids can play and you are given a pager.  When your pager goes off, then you head back to get in line for the attraction.  This helps to keep the kiddos entertained, you aren’t out in the heat and it makes the wait time feel like it goes by much faster.  Incorporating more opportunities like this would be amazing!

6. Free Dining promotion offered all year long.

Guests anxiously await for the Free Dining promotion to be announced each season so that they can take advantage of this great deal.  Of course there are a select amount of the promotions that are offered and your vacation package has to meet the eligibility requirements, but it would be amazing if Disney were to offer it all year long. More guests could take advantage of the deal and make their vacation even more magical.

5. Haunted Mansion themed resort.

This is at the top of my personal wish list.  With the new Star Wars themed resort in the works, it has made me even more hopeful that Disney might one day consider creating a Haunted Mansion themed resort.  The Haunted Mansion continues to be an extremely popular attraction at the Magic Kingdom and the theme for the attraction could make for one of the most amazing immersive resort experiences.  Come on Imagineers, let’s do this!

4. “Pay Your Age” days at the parks.

We saw how big of craze Build-A-Bear had when they offered their customers the opportunity to pay their age for a new bear for one single day. This would be a great promotion for Disney to run and we are sure it would fill the parks to capacity if they were to make such an offer!

3. Extend the monorail to other locations.

We know the new gondola system is coming, but we would still love an extended monorail, especially for it to go to other resorts.  It would be amazing if the monorail system could connect up to one of the resorts where the Disney Skyliner has a station, so that guests can get around easier without leveraging the bus transportation.

2. More Villains special events.

We can’t help but love the villains.  They are important parts of the stories, and they have their own special place in our hearts.  The most recent Disney offer has been for Villains After Hours at Magic Kingdom. This is a great event and we would like to see more of these types of events surface so that we can get more of our villains fix and have meet and greets with them.

1. Free birthday park visits again.

Several years ago, Disney ran a promotion where they would allow guests to enter the park for free on their birthdays.  If you had already purchased park tickets as part of a ticket package, they would give you a gift card for the cost of 1 day’s ticket that you could spend within the parks.  It was definitely a favorite promotion of mine and I sure with that Disney would consider bringing it back!  Who doesn’t love a little extra magic on their birthday?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
