2017 Hidden Mickey Pins Coming to Walt Disney World

Great news for all of you Disney Parks pin collectors out there!  The 2017 Hidden Mickey Pins have been revealed.  These are pins that you cannot purchase, but rather can only get by trading with a cast member for them.  The new collections have been released for Walt Disney World and Disneyland, but are a little bit different at each park.

The pins for Walt Disney World are pictured below.  There is a Smiling Disney Villains set, an assortment of Mickey fruits, Attraction Icons from popular attractions, Disney Dog Bones featuring favorite Disney pups, favorite characters from The Lion King and Chaser pins that are a combination of each of the series for the year done in all silver.

Pin trading is extremely popular at Disney Parks.  The Hidden Mickey pins, called this because of the hidden Mickey found on the front of the pin, were introduced to guests in 2003 and have remained popular ever since.  If you are trying to identify these pins and want to make sure you have actually found one, you can also look at the back of the pin.  It will have the words, “Hidden Mickey pin” on the back in addition to the hidden mickey on the front.  Happy pin hunting!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
