6 Things To Know About Walt Disney World’s Yacht Club Resort

6. It has one of the best locations in all of Walt Disney World.

The Yacht Club has one of the best locations of all the Walt Disney World resorts. It is the closest resort to EPCOT with just a 1/3 mile walk to the International Gateway entrance. It is also the Skyliner, a short boat ride, or slightly longer (about 20 minutes) walk to Hollywood Studios.

5. There is so much to do at the resort, you barely need the theme parks!

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort really can stand alone as its own attraction. Since it shares amenities with the Beach Club, there are a ton of things to do without leaving the resort! Stormalong Bay, the over 3-acre pool area complete with sand-bottom pools and a waterslide, can keep kids and adults entertained for a day or more. There is also an arcade, nighttime movies and campfires, the Shipshape Health Club, boat rentals, volleyball, tennis, and walking paths. All of this means you can enjoy one or more relaxing days at your resort and save money on park passes!

4. It is home to one of the best steakhouses on property.

The Yachtsman Steakhouse is known for having the best steaks on Disney property. The craftsman-inspired interior, open kitchen, and window into the room where the steaks are aged make it an entertaining experience as well as a delicious one!

3. You can watch Epcot’s fireworks from the bridge.

Want to watch Epcot’s fireworks without the crowds? Or maybe you’re back at the resort enjoying a lazy evening but still want to light show entertainment. The bridge between the Yacht Club and Boardwalk Resorts offers the best out-of-park viewing.

2. It is a great resort for adults.

The Yacht Club has a more reserved feel than its sister resort, the Beach Club, and tends to attract more adults. You get the benefits of all of the amenities of both resorts, with a quieter atmosphere. With EPCOT’s World Showcase and the Boardwalk just a stone’s throw away, the Yacht Club has the best location on property for dining and night life. The Yacht Club also has 56 rooms with king size beds that are ideal for couples.

About Katie D

I grew up in New Jersey in a family where the word “vacation” was synonymous with “Disney World.” After a few years of visiting regularly, my family became Disney Vacation Club members which meant we visited even more! Going to Disney always felt kind of like going home, and some of my best childhood and teenage memories occurred there. Now that I live in Jacksonville, FL I am excited to be a short drive from this magical place and look forward to making new memories for years to come.
