6. The Location

This is location is in the heart of Disney’s Boardwalk. The boardwalk is a lively and beautiful area within Walt Disney World resort where you can shop, dine, snack, stroll, see entertainment, have a drink and really just relax. This location offers a great opportunity for a pre- or post-dinner stroll on a date or with the family. The Boardwalk is also boat accessible so you can easily take a relaxing boat ride from Epcot or Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a little extra fun to add to the experience.

5. AbracadaBar Right Next Door

AbracadaBar is the newest lounge on Disney’s BoardWalk that makes for a perfect neighbor to Flying Fish Cafe. The open door between the two makes AbracadaBar close enough to head over to after dinner for more cocktails as a “dessert”. Themed with magic as the focus, this lounge is full of tasty concoctions and a cool atmosphere.

4. The Atmosphere

The theme inside Flying Fish Cafe is fun and elegant at the same time. There are fun lights, lines, patterns and texture to the restaurant. You also have the various sea creatures appearing like they are hanging from parachutes. This might sound like it could be cheesy or silly without a visual, but it is actually very trendy and beautiful. It is a theme that is extremely hard to describe since there are so many contemporary elements, so you will just have to go and check it out for yourself!

3. The Dress Code

This restaurant requires a dress code, which helps add to the elegance and class of the atmosphere, especially with the beautiful décor and surroundings. Men are required to wear dress pants or jeans and a collared shirt. Women are required to wear dress shorts, capris or pants, jeans or a dress with a blouse. There can be no offensive graphics on clothing, no swim wear and no flip-flop type of shoes. Many people take the dress code pretty seriously and wear dressy clothes to the event, so it really is a great occasion to get dressed up and enjoy an evening out.

2. Delicious variety of menu items.

The food here is absolutely amazing. The restaurant only does a dinner service, so reservations go quick! For starters if you are a fan of bisque, then you will definitely want to try the Golden Tomato Bisque with piquillo peppers, pesto, croutons. The Evolution of Cheese is also another delicious appetizer (we are big time cheese fiends). For the meal, my husband always gets the Snake River Farms Wagyu Strip Loin. The Wood-fired Spanish Octopus, Cobia, and Key West Pink Shrimp are amazing, especially if you are a seafood lover. I am a chocolate fan, so the Under the Sea with valrhona manjari chocolate, chocolate coral sponge, pistachio sand, dehydrated milk foam, and tasting of three sea salts is my favorite dessert! It is so decadent and delicious. Based on the food quality we have experienced, I have no doubt that everything at the restaurant is amazing!

This is a really happening area for adults to enjoy in the evening. There are various clubs, bars (AbracadaBar mentioned above) and nightlife that you can enjoy without kids in tow (yours or other guests’ children).
