Right away, it’s easy to tell that your dining experience here is going to be an enjoyable occasion. There are so many reasons why my family loves eating at Via Napoli, but here are a few.
6. Ambiance
The décor of this restaurant is very charming from the moment you walk in. The foyer is modeled after an Italian villa, which leads into an open dining room offering tables, booths, a community-style table for larger groups, and even a patio area outside. The walls are adorned with rustic murals, bright paintings, and retro Italy travel posters. The establishment is bustling and busy, but it never gets loud enough that you can’t enjoy a conversation at your table.
5. Servers
The restaurants in Epcot’s World Showcase are staffed with Cast Members from their native country, and Via Napoli is no exception. Servers are eager to please, open and friendly, and willing to explain the menu and even teach you a few words in Italian as they greet you at your table. If you’re celebrating a birthday, having the servers serenade you with Happy Birthday in Italian is a special treat.
4. Ovens
While you’re waiting for your meal, stroll over to the open kitchens and watch the chefs expertly prepare the dishes and make their specialty, the pizzas. Stromboli, Mount Etna, and Mount Vesuvius are the names of the wood-fired ovens that bake your pizzas, and it’s fun going over just to take a look. The proprietors of Via Napoli put mythological faces on the exterior of their ovens and creatively named them after active volcanoes in Italy.
3. Pizza
There are many delicious choices on the menu at Via Napoli, including chicken, lasagna, veal, a few seafood choices, and classic pasta dishes, but the focus of this restaurant is the pizza. Offered in several sizes, the pizzas are large and made for sharing. Spring water is imported as a key ingredient in the pizza dough in order to create the authentic taste of Neapolitan pizza. Traditional toppings are available, like pepperoni and mushrooms. However, it’s fun to try more gourmet options like calamari, artichoke, eggplant, prosciutto, and arugula.

2. Dessert
There are several delectable choices on the desert menu, but nothing comes close to the Zeppole di Caterina. There are dough fritters fried and filled with ricotta cheese and served with whipped creams and chocolate dipping sauce. No matter how full I am after my meal, I always still have room for this scrumptious dessert. Espressos and cappuccinos are available as well for an after dinner refreshment.

Whether you’re in the mood for a sweet Bellini, refreshing sangria, classic Italian margarita, or fruity Acqua Fresca, Via Napoli is the place to be. If you’re in the mood for beer, the menu offers Italian selections like Moretti and La Rossa, as well as domestic choices. Via Napoli also boasts an impressive wine list as well.

It’s never easy deciding on a restaurant when it comes time to planning our upcoming trip. Even with all of these possibilities, my family has made dining at Via Napoli a regular tradition.
