Many guests who visit Walt Disney World take advantage of the amazing dining experiences offered throughout the four theme parks, Disney Resorts, and Disney Springs. Guests can enjoy everything from fine dining experiences and character meals to counter service meals and on the go snacks. A favorite treat of many guests is ice cream as it both satisfies cravings and offers a cool relief on hot days in the parks. Thankfully, Walt Disney World is full of amazing ice cream treats for guests to enjoy! These ice cream snacks can be over the top sundaes, classic Mickey treats, or even a tropical delight. Disney insiders know the importance of leaving room after meals to be able to sample all of the amazing ice cream options in the parks. Here are seven favorite ice cream treats that Disney insiders love at Walt Disney World.

7. No Way Jose –

One of the best places to go in Walt Disney World for ice cream treats is the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. The restaurant is themed like an old seaside diner and serves up classic American delights for the main course and over the top ice cream treats for dessert. The No Way Jose is a peanut butter lover’s delight with vanilla and chocolate ice cream, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, whipped cream, hot fudge, peanut butter, and a cherry on top. With so many decadent touches, guests are sure to love this ice cream treat.

6. Kitchen Sink –

Also found at the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is an ice cream dessert so extravagant that it is advertised as big enough to serve four! The Kitchen Sink combines chocolate, vanilla, mint chocolate chip, coffee, and strawberry ice cream with literally every topping offered in the restaurant. Guests who are hungry enough to conquer the Kitchen Sink will definitely be satisfied with its outrageous size and delicious ingredients.

5. Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar –

One of the most classic ice cream treats in all of Walt Disney World is an ice cream bar that can be found at nearly every ice cream cart and Resort food court on property. The Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar features vanilla ice cream coated in milk chocolate and shaped like Mickey himself. Served on a popsicle stick, this ice cream snack is easy to walk around with in the parks and good to the last bite!

4. Dole Whip –

This favorite ice cream treat of guests is so popular that is almost has a cult following! Dole Whips are soft serve ice cream in a dish in either pineapple or vanilla flavors or a swirl of the two. Guests who love the snack can order it up at the Aloha Isle counter service location in the Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland or at a couple of different locations at the Animal Kingdom. Resorts that have Dole Whips are Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Pop Century Resort.

3. The Plaza Restaurant Sundae –

Guests who are fans of classic hand scooped ice cream should definitely make time to stop by the Plaza Restaurant for some delicious options. One of the most popular items on the dessert menu is the Plaza Restaurant Sundae which allows guests to pick on flavor of hand scooped ice cream which is then topped off with a choice of strawberry sauce, hot fudge, pineapple, whipped cream, chopped nuts, and a cherry on top. 2. Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich –

Next door to the Plaza Restaurant on the Magic Kingdom’s Main Street is the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor which serves up any kind of hand scooped ice cream delight a guest could want. One of the most popular items served at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor is the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich which allows guests to choose one flavor of hand scooped ice cream to be wedged between two fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookies. Both warm and gooey and cold and refreshing, the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich is a great ice cream treat!

1. Gelato –

Guests who are enjoying time in Epcot’s World Showcase should definitely pause in the Italy Pavilion to enjoy some delicious gelato! Guests who stop at the Gelati booth are treated to several options of gelato themed desserts which are sure to please even the pickiest of eaters! Guests can enjoy several flavors of classic gelato as well as specialty desserts like a Coppa Del Nonno which combines gelato, chocolate sauce, amaretto cookies, and whipped cream for a wonderful treat!
