Disney’s BoardWalk is so much more than a hotel. There are all sorts of fun things to do there. You will find carnival style games, and you can even have caricature art done of yourself, family, and friends. If you do want caricature art pictures done, Disney’s BoardWalk is the place to do it. Look for Mike outside by the Disney Vacation Club kiosk, he’s amazing. Disney’s BoardWalk is more than most people think, and here’s eight reasons why.

8) Easy Access to the Theme Parks

There are boats at Disney’s BoardWalk that will take you right to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. There’s also a walking path that you can take to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It is also a short walk to the International Gateway entrance to Epcot from Disney’s BoardWalk.

7) Get Your Workout In

Now obviously while walking around the parks you will get a lot of exercise, but if you are looking for a great place to go for a run or a walk, Disney’s BoardWalk is a perfect spot to do that. The scenery around the BoardWalk is beautiful, and if you go around sunset you will be absolutely amazed by the incredible show over the water.

6) Great Views of Fireworks

There are some spots around Disney’s BoardWalk where you will have a nice view of Epcot’s fireworks. The bridge near the International Gateway entrance gives you a beautiful view. Another good spot is the second bridge near Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels. You can also see the fireworks from some spots in front of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. If you want to see the Disney’s Hollywood Studios fireworks, you can see those from several spots along Disney’s BoardWalk, and the Crescent Lake loop as well.

5) Rent a Surrey Bike

If you’re with a group of family or friends, one thing you might want to consider doing is renting a surrey bike. Your group can enjoy a fun ride around Crescent Lake. Be warned there are two hills along the path, so get ready for quite a leg workout. Make sure to be careful and watch for other guests walking along the path. You can rent the surrey bikes for half an hour, and there are age restrictions on who can drive, so keep that in mind.

4) Sit Down Restaurants

Disney’s BoardWalk has some delicious restaurants that you will want to check out. Trattoria al Forno has some wonderful Italian food that you are sure to love – plus, Trattoria now offers a character breakfast with Rapunzel and friends! Big River Grille & Brewing Works has a working brewery right inside the restaurant. ESPN Club is great for sports fans. It has a really fun atmosphere, and serves ballpark food like burgers and fries. There are even veggie burgers if you have a vegetarian in your group. Flying Fish is a signature restaurant for the seafood fan in your family.

3) Jellyrolls, Atlantic Dance Hall, Abracadabar

If you’re 21 or up there are three places you’ll especially want to check out with amazing drinks and entertainment. Jellyrolls features dueling pianos, and you will have to pay to get in. Atlantic Dance Hall, on the other hand, has no cover charge. You and your friends can dance the night away. Abracadabar lounge is magician themed and intimate inside. Find a seat to have a specialty drink or take one to go as you stroll the BoardWalk.

2) Snacks and Drinks

If you are looking for a quick snack, Disney’s BoardWalk has you covered. There is a pizza window where you can buy pizza whole or by the slice. The To-Go Cart has some American classics like hot dogs, french fries, chicken fingers, and more. If you drink, BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas is a place to check out. If you’re someone who likes sweets, there are delicious stops for you. One is the Funnel Cake Cart which sells, you guessed it, funnel cakes. If you love ice cream, you will definitely want to stop at Ample Hills Creamery. They have some unique flavors of ice cream and they encourage sampling, so you can make sure you buy your favorite flavor. BoardWalk Bakery is also a favorite for guests where you can order all sorts of tasty baked treats. You can also find candy and snacks inside the Screen Door General Store.

1) Watch the Street Performers

Every night from 7:00 to 10:00, incredibly talented street performers entertain the crowds at Disney’s BoardWalk. From magicians to jugglers, the talents that these guys have will blow you away. There are three performers each night (six total) so make sure to catch them all. Have your cameras out and ready, because they often need assistance. You or your friends might end up being a part of the show! Walt Disney World only hires the best. If you enjoy what you see, make sure you leave a compliment for them inside the hotel.
