Last month, a Disney character performer unexpectedly “bit” another during a performance at Tokyo Disney Resort. A Disney Park guest shared a video of the interaction on social media, where it gained traction among fans.
The incident occurred on a boat that travels on the waterways around Tokyo DisneySea, allowing characters to wave at Disney Park guests. It carried characters that United States Disney parks fans might not recognize, as they’re more popular at some of the international Disney parks and Hawaii’s Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. They include Duffy Bear, ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, ‘Olu Mel, and LinaBell. Duffy Bear first appeared in 2002, and is said to be a gift that Minnie Mouse hand-made for Mickey Mouse. He and his friends later came to life and became international stars!

On April 29, Duffy Bear and his friends were cruising around Tokyo DisneySea when Gelatoni (the cat) “bit” ‘Olu Mel (the turtle). @mouseinfo shared a video of the adorably tense interaction on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“Shocking Disney Parks video: cat bites turtle’s hand off,” the Disney Park guest joked.

‘Olu Mel was a bit dejected at first, draping his hand over the edge of the boat. Luckily, he recovered quickly and continued waving at Disney Park guests with his friends!
