Disneyland Paris Resort has announced a price increase on one of its most affordable souvenirs, signaling a trend that could soon affect Disney Park guests worldwide. While the increase may seem small, it’s another indication that the cost of taking home Disney memories is steadily rising.

A Disney Park vacation is a big financial commitment, with costs for theme park tickets, Disney Resort hotel stays, food, and extra experiences quickly adding up. For families, especially those with children, the price tags multiply. What kid doesn’t want to bring home every toy they see?

While Disney souvenirs have never been particularly “cheap,” there are still some ways to make your trip more affordable. Pressed pennies and souvenir medallion coins are among the more budget-friendly options. These small, collectable souvenirs are a fun way to bring home a piece of the magic without breaking the bank.

In the United States, souvenir medallion coins are typically priced around $5, and they are heavier and more durable than the traditional pressed penny. These coins often feature designs celebrating special events, like Disney100 or the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort. Despite being pricier than pressed pennies (which cost about $1), medallions are still a popular and relatively affordable souvenir option for Disney Park guests.

However, Disneyland Paris Resort has raised the price of its Monnaie de Paris coins, inspired by the French mint. The price has increased from €3 to €3.50 (around $3.50 to $4.08). Despite the price hike, the coins are still more affordable than their counterparts at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, where souvenir medallions are typically priced at around $5 (roughly €4.29).

The price change has drawn attention from Disneyland Paris Resort guests. On X (formerly known as Twitter), user @PixiedustDLP shared a photo of one of the updated souvenir medallion machines available across Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park. The machine offered a Toy Story (1995) design.
