After the closure and draining of the Rivers of America, Walt Disney World Resort has now removed another iconic water feature from Magic Kingdom Park. Disney Park guests recently noticed that the tiered fountain outside Pinocchio Village Haus has been turned off and wrapped in tarps, marking yet another change in the park’s landscape.

The fountain outside Pinocchio Village Haus had been drained and concealed as of September 16, 2025. Photos shared by X (formerly Twitter) user @4chipandcompany showed the bottom half of the fountain covered with a large white tarp. Only the upper half of the fountain is visible, showing that the water no longer flows.

No strings attached… but no water either! 💦 The whimsical fountain outside Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom has been turned off and wrapped in scrim as Disney works on refurbishing the feature.

While the fountain takes a break, you can still enjoy flatbreads, salads, …

It’s unclear exactly when the fountain will be restored or what specific work is being done, as Walt Disney World Resort has not officially announced the details of the refurbishment. Given the historical updates around the park, this may be a routine maintenance project. Fortunately, the Pinocchio Village Haus restaurant remains open to guests, allowing them to continue enjoying their meals at the popular Quick Service location, which is known for its flatbread pizzas and salads.
