A popular Disney fast-food location has updated its menu, debuting some controversial changes.

A horse-drawn trolley travels down a bustling street in a theme park with a castle in the background. The street is lined with colorful buildings, and people are walking and enjoying the scenery. Two people are riding on the trolley, which has festive decorations.

When planning a trip to the Disney theme parks, travelers have a lot of choices to make. From picking which theme park to visit to where they lay their heads at night, travelers have their work cut out for them when it comes to booking a vacation to places like Disneyland and Walt Disney World.

However, dining is perhaps the most crucial element of a Disney theme park experience, with dozens of restaurants, both big and small, available to try.

Some of the most iconic options include Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and, of course, the original and highly exclusive Club 33 at Disneyland.

Though when it comes to fast food, nothing beats a fresh hot dog from Casey’s Corner. This quick-service location is practically as iconic as Space Mountain and “it’s a small world,” and has been a part of the Disney parks for years, including Disneyland Paris.

However, things are changing for the European version of the classic fast-food location.

Casey’s Corner at Walt Disney World still offers all-beef hot dogs.

While certainly not the most luxurious or well-rounded restaurant on offer, Casey’s Corner is an iconic part of Disney theme park history. The original version of the fast-food eatery is located at Magic Kingdom’s Main Street U.S.A. in Walt Disney World, dishing out hot dogs, French fries, and sodas to thousands of guests daily.

Disneyland Paris is unique among Disney’s theme parks. Opened in 1992, Disneyland Paris faced hardship for many years due to lower-than-expected attendance and a lackluster assortment of rides and attractions. These issues have been mostly resolved over the last decade thanks to big expansions like Avengers Campus and Disneyland Paris’ upcoming World of Frozen.

Disneyland Paris will also eventually be home to a new attraction inspired by The Lion King. This first-of-its-kind experience marks the first time Disney’s classic animated film will be the star of its own ride. The attraction will also be Disneyland Paris’ first water log flume ride.

The Lion King ride will be very similar to Disney’s iconic, now-defunct Splash Mountain, which transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure last year. However, Disneyland Paris plans to make some “big” improvements to the format, quite literally, as the new Lion King ride will feature much larger ride vehicles and scenes.

About Luke Dammann

When at Disney world, Luke will probably be found eating with his favorite animatronic, Sonny Eclipse at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe. When not at Disney World, Luke will probably be found defending Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe to people who claim "there are better restaurants"
