Christmas Paywall at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Updates Given

Despite the increased cost, Disney fans are snapping up a chance to experience the exclusive event.

If you’ve been meaning to snag a ticket to the festive after-hours event at Magic Kingdom, you’ll want to lean in. This year’s edition of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party opened on November 7, and from the get-go, it’s been flying off the shelves. The hallmark ingredients—snowflurries on Main Street U.S.A., cookies & cocoa, special entertainment, and that castle-lit holiday magic—are all back and drawing big demand.

According to ticket-availability trackers, all the November event nights are already sold out. Initially, it was reported that only December 11, 14, 16, and 18 remained available. However, as of now, December 11 has also sold out—which leaves just December 14, 16, and 18 as the final nights when tickets are still available. (The official Disney site currently lists those three nights as “Available.”)

So what does this mean for you?

• There are very few dates left for 2025’s party.
• If your heart was set on December 11, it’s time to switch gears. That date is no longer available.
• The remaining nights (December 14, 16, 18) are your last shot for this year’s edition.
•  If you miss those three, you’ll have to wait until next year’s season.
• Even if you can’t get a party ticket, Magic Kingdom still presents plenty of holiday atmosphere—but the exclusive perks (like the special parade, fireworks, treats, shorter ride lines) come with the party ticket.

Why the surge in demand?

Demand for this event is high because of several intersecting factors. The entertainment offering remains strong: the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, the Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration stage show all return with full fanfare.

Add in the complimentary holiday-themed snacks and cocoa, the special photo opportunities and character meet-and-greets, and the festive décor, along with snow falling on Main Street. These elements combine to make the value proposition for this party very appealing.

Additionally, limited capacity plays a role: when tickets are only sold for select nights and the event has a capacity limit, that naturally accelerates the sell-out pace. Also worth noting—this year’s pace of sell-outs appears faster than recent years (tickets were all gone by November 30 in 2024), suggesting either higher guest interest or tighter event capacity (or both)—the result: more nights going offline earlier than you might expect.
