Planning a Walt Disney World vacation has become something of an Olympic sport. Between checking park hours, navigating the latest skip-the-line technology, and balancing a budget, the logistics can be overwhelming. As of April 16, 2026, Disney has officially released its 2027 vacation packages, answering the million-dollar question: Should you stay on-property or save money at an offsite hotel?

With five major perks officially confirmed for 2027, Disney is making a massive play to keep you “in the bubble.” If you want to maximize your time and minimize your stress, here are the confirmed benefits that make a Disney Resort stay the ultimate strategic move for 2027.

1. Early Theme Park Entry: The 30-Minute Advantage

Confirmed for every day in 2027, Early theme park Entry remains the holy grail for rope-droppers. Guests at all Disney-owned resorts (and select partner hotels) get into any of the four theme parks 30 minutes before the general public.

In a world of triple-digit wait times, that 30-minute head start is the difference between walking onto Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and waiting two hours for it later in the afternoon. Itโ€™s the most efficient “free” perk in the Disney arsenal.

2. Extended Evening Hours: The Deluxe “Flex”

For those staying at Disney Deluxe Resorts or Deluxe Villas, the parks don’t close when the clock strikes ten. Disney has confirmed that Extended Evening theme park Hours will return on select nights at select parks throughout 2027.

This is where the magic truly happens. These two extra hours typically feature the lowest crowds of the day, allowing you to walk onto Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind or TRON Lightcycle / Run with ease. If you hate crowds, this perk alone justifies the Deluxe price tag.

3. FREE Water Park Access on Arrival Day

This fan-favorite perkโ€”which debuted in 2025โ€”is officially locked in for 2027. If you are a Disney Resort guest, your check-in day includes complimentary admission to a Disney Water Park (either Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, depending on the season).

Traditionally, arrival day is a “lost” day where you pay for a hotel but don’t want to “waste” a park ticket. Now, you can drop your bags and head straight to the wave pool for free. For a family of four, this is an instant $300 value added to your trip.

4. Complimentary Resort Transportation

One of the best ways to save money in 2027 is to avoid the $30+ daily parking fees at the theme parks. Disney has confirmed that its iconic transportation networkโ€”the Monorail, Skyliner, water taxis, and busesโ€”will remain free for all resort guests. Whether you’re soaring over the parks in a gondola or taking a relaxing boat ride to Disney Springs, the convenience of leaving your car keys behind is a massive stress-reducer.

5. Early Access to Dining and Lightning Lanes

Finally, Disney confirmed that resort guests will keep their “head start” on planning. You can book Advanced Dining Reservations for your entire stay (up to 10 days) starting 60 days before your check-in. Furthermore, resort guests receive priority access to Lightning Lane bookings. In a system where the best times go fast, being first in line is the ultimate currency.
