Disney fans never seem to get tired of Stitch, and the latest announcement proves that trend isn’t slowing down anytime soon.
Just as summer travel season kicks into high gear, Disney has revealed a brand-new Stitch-themed collectible that is already generating plenty of excitement among fans. Social media quickly lit up after images of the new item surfaced, with many Disney collectors immediately adding it to their wish lists.
Of course, Disney popcorn buckets have become far more than simple snack containers over the past several years. Limited releases regularly draw long lines, sell out quickly, and become highly sought-after collectibles almost overnight. That’s exactly why this latest Stitch reveal is getting so much attention.
While Disney fans are still counting down the days until the new bucket officially arrives, many are already predicting it could become one of the more popular Stitch-themed collectibles released this year.

Stitch Continues to Be One of Disney’s Biggest Stars
If there was ever any doubt about Stitch’s popularity, Disney’s recent merchandise releases have erased it completely.
The mischievous blue alien has evolved from a beloved animated character into one of Disney’s most successful merchandise brands. From apparel and plush toys to Loungefly bags and limited-edition collectibles, Stitch products consistently attract attention across Disney Parks and Disney Stores.
That popularity was on full display last year when Disney released a Halloween-themed Stitch popcorn bucket featuring Stitch dressed as a mummy while trick-or-treating. Fans rushed to grab the collectible, and it quickly became one of the season’s most talked-about merchandise releases.
The frenzy surrounding that bucket showed just how passionate Stitch fans remain. Even years after the original film debuted, demand for Stitch merchandise continues to grow.
Now Disney is hoping to capture that excitement once again with an entirely new design that embraces the character’s Hawaiian roots.

A New Stitch Bucket and Resort Mug Are Arriving This Month
Disney has officially announced that a new Stitch popcorn bucket and matching refillable mug will arrive at Aulani, Disney’s Hawaiian resort, on June 26.
The timing is no coincidence. The release is scheduled just in time for Stitch Day, the annual fan celebration inspired by Experiment 626’s famous number.
Both collectibles will be sold at Ulu Café and feature vibrant tropical artwork created by Disney artist Ann Shen. The colorful design showcases Stitch relaxing and enjoying life around the resort. The artwork depicts him floating through the Waikolohe Stream while surrounded by lush island scenery, ocean-inspired details, palm trees, and warm sunset colors that reflect the atmosphere of Aulani.
The popcorn bucket also features a purple lid and matching handle that help complete the tropical look.
Disney has not announced official pricing yet. However, based on similar resort offerings, guests can likely expect the popcorn bucket to fall somewhere in the typical $10 to $15 range. The refillable resort mug will probably be priced similarly to other metal resort mugs, which generally sell for around $38.
The refillable mug offers unlimited fountain drinks, coffee, and tea refills at participating locations throughout a guest’s stay. Meanwhile, guests who purchase the popcorn bucket will be able to take advantage of discounted $3 popcorn refills.
The release arrives during an especially meaningful year for Aulani as the resort celebrates its 15th anniversary. Because both Aulani and Stitch share strong Hawaiian connections, the character has become one of the property’s most recognizable Disney icons.

Why This Could Matter for Disney Parks Everywhere
Even if you’re not planning a Hawaiian vacation anytime soon, this announcement could still be great news.
Disney continues to invest heavily in Stitch merchandise because fans continue showing up for it. Every successful release sends a clear message that demand remains strong, and that often leads to even more merchandise opportunities in the future.
That’s why many Disney fans are already wondering whether another Stitch popcorn bucket could eventually make its way to Walt Disney World or Disneyland later this year.
The timing certainly makes sense.
Disney World has already confirmed that Stitch will headline a brand-new dance party experience in Tomorrowland during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party this year. Whenever Disney puts a major spotlight on a character, merchandise often follows close behind.
A Halloween-themed Stitch bucket would feel like a natural fit, especially after last year’s mummy version’s success. Disney could also easily lean into the holiday season with a Christmas-themed Stitch collectible later this year.
Given Stitch’s current popularity, neither possibility would be surprising.

Collectors Already Know What Happens Next
Another reason fans aren’t panicking about this being an exclusive release is one simple reality: Disney merchandise almost always finds its way into the resale market.
Collectors frequently purchase extra buckets, mugs, and specialty merchandise specifically to resell later. While that can be frustrating for some fans, it also means that limited items often remain accessible long after they disappear from Disney locations.
For fans who absolutely must have this particular bucket or mug, there’s a good chance it will eventually show up on online resellers’ sites. Prices may end up higher than the original retail cost, but the option will likely be available.
Considering how popular Stitch collectibles have become, many fans are already preparing for that possibility.

This May Be Just the Beginning for Stitch Fans
Disney’s newest Stitch popcorn bucket may be debuting at Aulani, but the excitement surrounding it stretches far beyond Hawaii.
The combination of colorful artwork, Stitch’s enduring popularity, and Disney’s ever-growing popcorn bucket craze has created another collectible that fans are eager to get their hands on. Whether you’re planning a stay at Aulani or simply watching from afar, the announcement serves as another reminder of just how powerful the Stitch brand has become for Disney.
And if recent history is any indication, this probably won’t be the last Stitch popcorn bucket fans see in 2026.
