Disneyland’s Halloween Event Just Proved Why It Might Be the Hottest Ticket On The Market

Just a few days ago, the conversation around Oogie Boogie Bash 2026 was all about getting in the door before the general public sale opened. Magic Key holders moved through their dedicated pre-sale windows on June 16 and June 17, and the general public finally gained access on June 18. The warning at the time was simple and consistent across every corner of the Disney fan community: this event sells out fast, and the dates closest to Halloween go first. That warning has already proven correct in the most direct way possible.

Oogie Boogie Bash, Disneyland Resort’s beloved Halloween event at Disney California Adventure, has officially sold out for Halloween night. October 31, the single most in-demand date on the entire 33-night calendar, is gone, and it disappeared less than 24 hours after general public ticket sales opened.

Which Halloween Event Dates Are Sold Out

As of June 19, two dates on the 2026 Oogie Boogie Bash calendar have sold out. Halloween night itself, Saturday, October 31, is no longer available. October 11, a Sunday falling during the peak stretch of Disneyland Resort’s Halloween season, has also sold out.

Both dates fall within the window when Disneyland Resort’s broader Halloween Time celebration is operating at its most atmospheric peak, with seasonal decorations across both parks, Haunted Mansion Holiday running at Disneyland Park, and Plaza de la Familia bringing the Dia de los Muertos celebration to Disney California Adventure. That combination of factors makes dates in this stretch of October consistently the most competitive on the entire Oogie Boogie Bash calendar, and Halloween night specifically carries the additional weight of being the literal day the entire season builds toward.

Pricing reflects that demand directly. Halloween night was priced at $199 per guest, the most expensive single night across the entire 2026 calendar. October 11 was priced at $179. Both prices sit at the upper end of the event’s $139 to $199 general admission range, and both sold out anyway.

Why This Sells Out So Fast Every Year

For guests who have followed the ongoing debate between Oogie Boogie Bash and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Walt Disney World, this kind of rapid sellout is exactly the evidence that fuels the growing argument in favor of Disneyland’s villain-focused Halloween event. The Villains Grove walkthrough experience at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, the immersive treat trails hosted by Disney villains, rare character appearances from figures like Ernesto de la Cruz, Mother Gothel, and the Sanderson Sisters, and the overall creative ambition Disneyland Resort has poured into this event in recent years have combined to make Oogie Boogie Bash one of the most consistently sold-out ticketed events in the entire Disney calendar. And arguably the best Disney Halloween event.

This year’s event runs for 33 separate nights, the longest run Oogie Boogie Bash has ever offered, starting August 18 and continuing through Halloween night on October 31. That extended calendar gives guests considerably more date options than in previous years, but the sellout of two dates within roughly 24 hours of general sales opening makes clear that more nights does not mean less competition for the ones guests actually want.

What Else to Know Before Buying The Halloween Ticket

Oogie Boogie Bash runs from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on each event night, though party guests can enter Disney California Adventure as early as 3:00 p.m. on their ticketed date without needing a separate theme park reservation. Parking is not included with party admission, and Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Premier Pass, and Lightning Lane Single Pass are not offered during the event.

This year’s lineup includes the returning Villains Grove experience, immersive treat trails, character experiences, seasonal decor throughout the park, PhotoPass downloads included during the party, and Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake: A Haunted Mansion Street Party, a brand new experience replacing Mickey’s Frightfully Fun Parade, which is not running this year due to construction in the area. An optional add-on dessert party accompanies the new street party for guests wanting an enhanced viewing experience.

Disney has also confirmed a special D23 Night exclusive to D23 Members and their guests on September 27.

What This Means for Guests Still Deciding

The majority of party nights remain available as of this writing, but the sellout of Halloween night and October 11 within roughly a day of general sales opening is the clearest possible signal that the remaining October dates are not going to last much longer. Tickets are valid only for the specific date purchased, are nonrefundable, and must be purchased online.

For anyone who has been weighing whether to commit to a specific Oogie Boogie Bash date this fall, the math has gotten considerably simpler in the past 24 hours. The dates that were always going to sell out first have already done exactly that, and the rest of the calendar is moving in the same direction. In this case, you will need to act quickly to secure your spot in order to attend this spooky gathering.
