Star Wars has never been afraid to expand beyond the big screen, with its characters appearing across comics, novels, video games, television, animation, and theme park attractions.
However, its latest celebration is taking things one step further by placing the original Star Wars heroes alongside some of the biggest names in the Marvel Universe.

A Star Wars Remake Is Coming
Marvel Comics and Lucasfilm Publishing have announced Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles, a limited five-part comic book series that brings together two of the most iconic entertainment franchises in history.
Marvel.com also offers fans a first look at several familiar faces from the original trilogy alongside some of Marvel’s biggest heroes and villains, in a large official illustrated collage from the comic.
The artwork shows Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, R2-D2, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Vader as they appeared in Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), and they’re joined by an enormous lineup of Marvel characters, including Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, the Hulk, Deadpool, Black Widow, Thor, Wolverine, and the Fantastic Four.
Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles #1 is scheduled to launch in January 2027, with the five-part series forming part of the wider celebrations surrounding the 50th anniversary of A New Hope, which include a Welsh redub of the original 1977 film that premieres on Christmas Day, and Star Wars: The Experience – A Journey Through the Galaxy, a behind-the-scenes exhibition that offers a look back across the entire saga, which launches in Philadelphia in February 2027.
