To keep its property operating at high standards, Disney World has confirmed an extensive schedule of hotel refurbishments, room overhauls, and amenity closures spanning 2027. Whether you’re booking a luxury Deluxe villa or a budget-friendly Value resort, here is the full list of confirmed hotel disruptions you need to know before putting down a deposit.

Deluxe & DVC Resort Disruptions

  • Bay Lake Tower & Contemporary Resort: Construction at Bay Lake Tower and the Main Tower atrium will continue through late 2027. Exterior work on the Main Tower may affect balcony views and require alternate walking paths across the property.
  • Disney’s Beach Club Resort: Visible exterior maintenance continues through late 2027, impacting exterior building views and temporary pedestrian routes.
  • Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas: From January 11 through April 2027, the popular Luna Park Pool, Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations pool bar will close for maintenance. Guests can use the resort’s leisure pools during this window.
  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge (Jambo House): Guest room refurbishments at Jambo House continue through January 2027, while Kidani Village finishes its work by late 2026.
  • Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa: Refurbishments around select areas, including the covered entrance, will stretch into early 2027.

Moderate & Value Resort Refurbishments

Moderate and Value resorts accommodate massive guest numbers, with Disney managing room updates in phased blocks.

  • Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort: From August 2026 through late September 2027, the Coronado Springs Convention Center and El Centro Corridor will undergo planned refurbishments, which will result in temporary partitions along guest walkways.
  • Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort: Room refurbishments, starting in mid-2026, will wrap up in late January 2027.
  • Disney’s Art of Animation Resort: A massive, long-term room refurbishment begins in mid-June 2027 and runs through October 2028.

CONFIRMED: 7-Day Disney Skyliner Shutdown

If easy theme park transportation is your top priority, mark your calendar for late January.

The Disney Skyliner will close for its annual routine maintenance from January 24 through January 30, 2027. This week-long shutdown impacts all Skyliner-connected resorts—Pop Century, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, and Riviera Resort. Complimentary bus transportation will replace gondola transit to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the closure.

How to Protect Your 2027 Vacation

Staying at a resort during a refurbishment doesn’t have to ruin your getaway:

  1. Request Remote Rooms: Use online check-in via the My Disney Experience app to request a room away from active work zones.
  2. Check Pool Schedules: Double-check feature pool maintenance dates before booking if daily swimming is non-negotiable.
  3. Plan Transit Alternate Routes: If traveling in late January, decide whether the Skyliner shutdown makes a Monorail or Disney Springs resort a better fit.

By reviewing Disney World’s confirmed 2027 hotel closures, you can avoid unexpected construction and plan a seamless, magical trip!
