Disney’s most premium line-skipping option has officially sold out for October 3, 2026, making it one of the first dates this month to hit capacity at Walt Disney World Resort’s flagship park. Premier Pass sellouts are not unheard of at Magic Kingdom, but this one comes with a clear set of reasons behind it. Here is why guests snapped up every available pass for this particular Saturday.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass Pricing This October

Lightning Lane Premier Pass offers guests one-time access to the Lightning Lane entrance at each participating attraction, with no need to book return times. It is also Disney’s priciest line-skipping product, with costs fluctuating based on demand.

Current pricing data for Magic Kingdom shows the pass priced between $299 and $429 over the next four weeks. Today, October 1, sits at the bottom of that range at $299, while several mid-October dates have already climbed to $429. October 3 is now listed as sold out.

Why October 3 Sold Out

Extended Park Hours

The biggest factor is time. On October 3, Magic Kingdom opens at 7:30 a.m. for Early Theme Park Entry, with regular opening at 8 a.m., and the park stays open until 11 p.m. That is about as long an operating day as Magic Kingdom typically offers.

This is a direct result of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The separately ticketed event takes over the park on many nights in October, with Magic Kingdom closing to day guests at 6 p.m. on those dates. On non-party days like October 3, Disney has moved Early Entry earlier and pushed closing from the usual 10 p.m. to 11 p.m., giving guests a 15-and-a-half-hour window in the park.

No Party, No Early Exit

For anyone purchasing Lightning Lane Premier Pass, the absence of a party is a major advantage. On party dates, day guests must wrap up and leave by 6 p.m., as the evening event begins. On October 3, Premier Pass holders have the full day and night to work through the attraction list at their own pace.

That leaves room for a midday break, a sit-down meal, or a return to favorite rides after dark without the pressure of an early cutoff. With the pass priced per day, more hours in the park translate directly into more value for every dollar spent.

The Cheapest Saturday on the Calendar

Price is the final piece. October 3 sold out at $379, the lowest Saturday price across the upcoming weekends currently on sale. By comparison, Saturday, October 10, and Saturday, October 17, are both priced at $429, a $50 difference per person.

For a family of four, that gap amounts to $200 in a single day. Combined with the longer hours, October 3 effectively offered more park time for less money than the following Saturdays, making it an easy choice for weekend visitors.

What This Means If You’re Visiting Magic Kingdom

If you are visiting Magic Kingdom this weekend without a Premier Pass, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, or Single Pass, you may still be able to purchase one, and Sunday, October 4, is currently available at $379.

Guests planning later in the month should keep an eye on non-party dates, as these extended-hour days are likely to see the highest demand. If Premier Pass is part of your plan, booking as early as possible remains the safest approach.

About Thomas Hitchen

When he’s not thinking about the Magic Kingdom, Thomas is usually reading a book, becoming desperately obsessed with fictional characters, or baking something delicious (his favorite is chocolate cake -- to bake and to eat). He's a dreamer and grew up on Mulan saving the world, Jim Hawkins soaring through the stars, and Padmé Amidala fighting a Nexu. At the Parks, he loves to ride Everest, stroll down Main Street with an overstuffed pin lanyard around his neck, and eat as many Mickey-shaped ice creams as possible. His favorite character is Han Solo (yes, he did shoot first), and his favorite TV show is Buffy the Vampire Slayer except when it's One Tree Hill. He loves sandy beach walks, forest hikes, and foodie days out in the Big City. Thomas lives in England, UK, with his fiancée, baby, and their dog, a Border Collie called Luna.
