Walt Disney World has slipped a little extra magic into one of EPCOT’s most popular attractions, and guests waiting in line are the ones who get to enjoy it.

New Magic Arrives in the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Queue
Disney fan account @DrewDisneyDude shared the discovery on X, posting a photo from inside the attraction’s queue alongside the following message:
“New magic has been added to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT! Guests can now spot Remy, Emile, and their friends preparing for the grand feast while waiting in the queue. Silent attraction improvements are the best. 🙌”
The video footage shows one of the queue’s backlit lattice windows, where the new scene plays out in silhouette. Additions like this tend to arrive without announcement, and they reward guests who take a moment to look around rather than straight at their phones while the line moves.
What Is Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure?
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is a trackless dark ride based on Pixar’s 2007 film Ratatouille. Guests are shrunk down to the size of a rat and board “ratmobiles” that scurry through Gusteau’s restaurant in Paris, dodging chefs and racing across rooftops alongside Remy. The ride formerly blended large-scale 3D screens with physical sets, but following a closure last year, Disney replaced the 3D element with 2D visuals. Along with temperature and scent effects, the ride puts guests right in the middle of the kitchen chaos.

The attraction sits in the France pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase, tucked into a recreated Parisian square that expanded the pavilion’s footprint. It opened on October 1, 2021, the same day Walt Disney World kicked off its 50th anniversary celebration.
The Florida version is based on the original, which debuted at Disneyland Paris in 2014 in what is now Disney Adventure World.

While a new queue effect is a small change, it lands at a moment when much bigger things are happening across Walt Disney World. Magic Kingdom is making way for Piston Peak National Park, a Cars-inspired area on the former Rivers of America site, and Villains Land, a new land dedicated to Disney’s most notorious characters. Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Monstropolis will bring the world of Monsters, Inc. to life, while Disney’s Animal Kingdom is transforming DinoLand U.S.A. into the Tropical Americas, featuring attractions inspired by Encanto and Indiana Jones.
For now, guests heading to EPCOT have one more reason to keep their eyes open in line.
