Disney World Announces Nov. 2 Closure of Jungle Cruise, Ride To Return in 2027

It’s November 1, and Walt Disney World Resort is already in holiday mode. On Sunday, the Central Florida Disney park finalized the schedule for the Jingle Cruise holiday overlay on the Jungle Cruise attraction in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom. Here’s what to know before your next vacation.

Jingle Cruise Schedule Announced

Every year, Walt Disney World Resort transforms the historic Jungle Cruise attraction into the Jingle Cruise, a holiday-themed journey through the Amazon, Congo, Nile, and Mekong Rivers. The punny Skippers work the Most Wonderful Time of the Year into their scripts, while Imagineers install holiday props throughout the attraction and on its audio-animatronics. The final day to experience the original Jungle Cruise is Monday, November 2.

Walt Disney World Resort’s website had already confirmed that the Jingle Cruise would return to Magic Kingdom Park on November 3, 2026. The attraction overlay operates during regular theme park hours and also during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the special-ticketed event on select nights in November and December.

Now, Central Florida Disney Park guests know when the Jingle Cruise overlay will leave Magic Kingdom Park in early 2027, and when the original Adventureland attraction will return.

The Return of the Jungle Cruise

Walt Disney World Resort recently updated the Jingle Cruise webpage to confirm that the final day to experience this holiday overlay is January 4, 2027. Walt Disney Imagineers will work their overnight magic, and the Jungle Cruise will be back in action when Magic Kingdom Park opens on January 5, 2027.

Guests will have approximately nine weeks to experience this attraction overlay at Magic Kingdom Park. The Jingle Cruise is actually leaving two days before the official conclusion of the holiday season at Walt Disney World Resort on January 6, 2027.
