A Favorite Magic Kingdom Restaurant May Be Reopening Soon!

Batter’s up! All signs point to a favorite Magic Kingdom quick-service restaurant reopening soon. Yes, that’s right, Casey’s Corner! This popular quick-service spot has been closed since the pandemic closed Walt Disney World in Spring 2020, and has yet to reopen with the rest of Magic Kingdom. While we understand it’s small size and therefore difficulty working around physical distancing, we’re thrilled that with CDC restrictions gone, this small but tasty restaurant looks like it may be reopening very soon!

First off, the Casey’s Corner website still shows no future operating hours for the quick-service restaurant. The interesting news however is that Disney has updated the menu for Casey’s Corner. The menu includes several of the same items which we hope means the return of some of our favorites such as the Frozen Mint Julep Lemonade. You’ll also see listed the Chili-Cheese All-Beef Foot-long Hot Dog, Corn Dog Nuggets with Cheese Sauce, Plant-Based Loaded Slaw Dog, “Sausage” Dog, and the yummy Chili-Cheese French Fries. Need a sweet treat? The Baseball Brownie is on the updated menu. This menu is also now viewable via the My Disney Experience App which is another great sign!

On top of the recent menu update, WDWNT has reported by looking inside the windows that tables and chairs have now been placed in the once emptied out space! Why else would Disney be adding tables and chairs, plus updating the menu if it wasn’t planning to reopen Casey’s soon?

We suspect with the return of Happily Ever After Nighttime Spectacular kicking off on July 1, Disney is preparing to reopen Casey’s Corner sooner rather than later, as crowds flock to Main Street USA for the fireworks. Many of times we’ve grabbed a late dinner at Casey’s and snacked along as Happily Ever After lit up the sky! We’re hoping we’ll be able to return to this restaurant soon enough.
