When you walk into The Land Pavilion at EPCOT you will see Living with the Land. This attraction is a slow moving boat ride through greenhouses and other nature based themes. This ride very strongly focuses on agriculture to make it more efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable.
Any Guest who has been to EPCOT in the past four days has not been able to take part in this attraction. Cast Members are stationed outside the entrance to the ride and kindly notify Guests that it is not currently running. It is not unusual for rides to shut down, but in this case, it is an unusually long downtime, but there has been no confirmation on what the issue may be. It seems that Cast Members are also not told what the hold up is. There has been no scheduled refurbishment at this time, so hopefully soon, everything will be up and running again.
When the ride reopens, there are also many hidden Mickeys throughout the ride, so make sure to keep your eyes open for those. The gardens you see along this ride are foods used in many of the restaurants around the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney does their part to try to help be as environmentally friendly as possible and also use new gardening techniques, some of which are explained on the ride. Although it is a very educational ride, it is very interesting, and once it is near the Christmas season, the ride becomes holiday themed. It is a very nice relaxing ride and an excellent opportunity to take a little break after walking around the parks all day. A great attraction for the whole family.
