A Gold Statue of BB-8 Will Be Added to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection

Thanks to wdw.ambassador on Instagram for sharing the exciting news that BB-8 is part of the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection at Walt Disney World for The World’s Most Magical Celebration starting October 1st, 2021.

To quote Disney’s update: “On behalf of all our Cast Members, we are thrilled to reveal that BB-8 is part of the “Disney Fab 50 Character Collection” that you’ll soon find across the four @WaltDisneyWorld theme parks during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” starting October 1. We can’t wait for this little guy to roll into Disney’s Hollywood Studios soon. May the Force be with you! #DisneyWorld50

Anyone who is not up to date on the Disney Fab 50 Character Collection it is going to be across all four theme parks. 50 gold characters will be distributed across the parks during The World’s Most Magical Celebration. Other characters that have already been announced are Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip ‘n Dale and more. You will want to make sure to have your cameras ready because you’ll want to take as many pictures as possible. Those classic Disney characters will all be at Magic Kingdom. Walt Disney World will be announcing the rest of the sculptures as it gets closer.

Walt Disney World is planning some exciting things for The World’s Most Magical Celebration. 50 years is something they definitely should be proud of. Along with the statues the celebration will also debut the new nighttime spectacular; Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom and Harmonious at EPCOT. Also, at EPCOT Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be opening. Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will have a virtual queue, so make note of that while planning your vacation. You can find out more information about that here.
