There will be a helicopter flying over Walt Disney World on December 4th and December 5th. The helicopter will be taking video of various areas around the resort. The helicopter is expected to fly at very low altitudes. It is also expected to make various landings around the resort to get closer footage. We know that ESPN Wide World of Sports will be one of the designated landing areas, and we aren’t sure at this point where the others will be.

The air space over the theme parks are no fly zones where there is no air traffic allowed. We are unsure at this point if that will be lifted at any point, but it wouldn’t be likely especially during hours when the park is open. This policy is in effect to keep guests safe and to preserve the magic. It wouldn’t fit well with the theme and magic of Walt Disney World to have air traffic all over the park, news helicopters or anything like that.
