Avatar Flight of Passage is one of the attractions that opened when Pandora – The World of Avatar first opened at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The immersive, themed land opened in 2017. Avatar Flight of Passage continues to maintain long lines and receives rave reviews from guests. Disney Parks Blog announced today that the Visual Effects Society (VES) granted Avatar Flight of Passage one of their amazing awards. The attraction won the award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Special Venue Project. This is great win for the attraction and all of the cast members that have worked hard to offer this experience for guests that visit the park.

Avatar Flight of Passage is an amazing 3-D ride where guests soar all over Pandora on the back of one of the mountain banshees. It is a completely immersive experience where guests even experience and feel the little details like the banshee breathing under them while in flight. The attraction has received another award prior to this one. The award was a Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement: Attraction. This is definitely unlike any attraction that you have ever experienced before at Walt Disney World or anywhere else.
