The Bayou Pirate Adventure Cruise is a really fun event for children, ages 4-12, that is offered at certain resorts at Walt Disney World with water access. We have received confirmation that after 3/30 there will be no more cruises offered from Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts. If you have stayed at one of the resorts before, you may have noticed the pirate cruises going down Sassagoula River, but tomorrow will officially be the last day. If you have an interest in booking one of these cruises from Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts, then you had better act fast since you are almost out of opportunities. Don’t worry, if you are interested in booking a pirate cruise for your kids, you can still book one of the following events:
- Albatross Treasure Cruise: Yacht & Beach Blub
- Available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:30AM
- Disney’s Pirate Adventure: Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Available on Mondays – Saturdays at 9:30AM
- Island of the Caribbean Pirate Cruise: Caribbean Beach Resort
- Available on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30AM
Each cruise lasts 2 hours and take the kiddos out on a “pirate ship”. The kids are on a voyage for treasure, finding new treasure at each port. They travel with CPR-certified cast members to ensure their safety while aboard the “pirate ship”. They get to wear a little bit of pirate gear and pretend they are really pirates out on the water with a little bit of pirate gear. When they return, they are served a light lunch which typically includes an Uncrustable, Goldfish crackers and juice.
It is a really fun event for the kiddos and reasonably priced at $31.95 per child, ages 4 – 12. Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance by calling 407-WDW-Play. Full payment for the experience will be required at the time of booking.
While we are sad to say goodbye to the Bayou Pirate Adventure, we are glad that the other pirate adventures are still here to stay.
