Beauty and the Beast-Inspired Lounge Coming to Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian Resort

We are so excited to learn from Disney Parks Blog that a new Beauty and the Beast-inspired lounge is in the works for Walt Disney World.  The new lounge will be located at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and expected to open this fall.  The location was formerly Mizner’s Lounge and Commander Porter’s, where it will be completely re-imagined to with four different spaces that are inspired by Belle and the Beast.

Per Disney Parks Blog, “The signature bar will glow from the light of a magnificent gold chandelier that takes its inspiration from Belle’s flowing ball gown, with subtle nods to the Beast’s magical rose. The formal library showcases classical baroque designs and French furnishings inspired by Belle, with hints of the Beast’s friends. The garden room will be a whimsical space that draws its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding Beast’s castle. And an outdoor patio will evoke the romance of Beast’s garden terrace.”

We can’t wait to check out this new lounge and the luxurious theme!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
