Behind the Scenes With Disney Imagineering on Changes to Walt Disney World’s American Adventure Pavilion

Disney Parks Blog released an amazing behind the scenes look into the work that Walt Disney Imagineering did over at The American Adventure pavilion.  The American Adventure pavilion is located within the World Showcase area of Epcot at Walt Disney World.  This sneak peek is specifically into one of the signature songs from the pavilion and the reimagining of it that was completed by Walt Disney Imagineering.  This effort was also completed with the help of amazing musicians.  “Golden Dream,” is is the theme song for the attraction at the pavilion where there is a tribute to some of the most important moments in American history.  It is unique in that it is hosted by Mark Twain and Benjamin Franklin.  Harvey Mason Jr. (pop/rock music producer) worked to incorporate “cinematic sensibilities” into a new version of song that didn’t stray too far from the original.

Here is the link to the video to check out the this amazing behind the scenes look at how the team worked to pull this off:

The attraction recently re-opened at Epcot with a completely enhanced and updated digital projection system, new speakers and additional updates to the finale of the attraction.  It also re-opened with the updates to “Golden Dream” for guests to enjoy the new sound that has been incorporated.

How many of you have experienced the updated attraction?  What do you think of the updates to the song?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
