One of the amazing things about Disney Parks is their parades. It doesn’t matter your age or favorite characters; they are enjoyable for everyone in your party. Thomas Smith gave us a behind-the-scenes look on Disney Parks Blog for the new holiday parade at Disneyland Paris:

Why wait until December when you can celebrate the start of the festive season in November? Disneyland Paris will be decked out in the magic of the holidays beginning Nov. 13, and we couldn’t wait to share this exciting look at the must-see, new Christmas parade!

Over the past several years, we’ve been secretly developing our all-new “Mickey’s Dazzling Christmas Parade!” and are thrilled to present this brand-new parade that will put a sparkle in guests’ eyes this holiday season. The parade is composed of five gigantic floats, featuring not only Mickey and his friends, but also Disney Princesses and Santa Claus, accompanied by Tinkerbell.

Each of these floats will represent an idyllic Christmas scene with traditional decorations and parade performers dressed in luminous costumes specifically designed for the occasion. Here’s a special look behind the magic of this parade:

With over 200 new costumes produced for our new parade, over four miles of garland, 11,604 ornaments, 78 real trees, a majestic tree 78 feet high weighing 24 tons and more than 37,000 flowers, the entire resort will be ready to welcome guests in enchanting décor.

In addition to this enchanting holiday parade, we’re thrilled to welcome back the return of fan favorite show, “The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands” which premiered on Oct. 23 and our nighttime spectacular, “Disney Illuminations,” which will be making its comeback on Dec. 21. With exciting new merchandise and festive cuisine, you won’t want to miss out on this celebration.

Stay tuned to the Disney Parks blog for even more holiday fun!
