According to their website, Walt Disney World is expected to close Blizzard Beach Water Park tomorrow, Wednesday, February 13th due to expected inclement weather. At the time of this post, the water park is currently scheduled to reopen to guests on Thursday, February 14, 2019, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Typhoon Lagoon is already closed due to annual maintenance and refurbishment, so it is not impacted by this closure. The water parks typically close when there is inclement weather or the temperatures are expected to be too low to be comfortable. It is also possible that if the weather is bad enough that Disney will start to close resort pools and such as well if guests still try to swim during inclement weather.
As always, we will keep you posted about any changes we learn with the operational schedule and the weather forecasts that may impact your stay at Walt Disney World.
