Cast Member at Walt Disney World Has Played Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf 557 Times

There are a variety of golf and miniature golf courses offered at Walt Disney World.  Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf course is one of the locations, which can be found close to Disney’s Boardwalk.  Dave Hartmann has been a cast member there since 2007.  Not only has he been a cast member there, but he has played the course more than 557 times.  He has even kept every single scorecard showing all of the scores that he received on the course.  He held the official course record of 47 on the 72-par course for 11 years.

When he first discovered the course, he shot a 90 when he played.  He wasn’t happy with that score and would return to the course very time that he was on vacation there from 1996 through 2003 to continue practicing and working to improve the score.  He played so much that he was offered a job by the course manager.

He loves the interactions with guests and other cast members and that is what keeps him working there.  He is often requested to join regulars on the course to give them tips as they play along.  “What keeps me coming back is the chance to spend time with people,” he says. “I enjoy going out and talking with the people on the course, and we have a lot of fun. That’s what gives them memories.”
