Walt Disney World’s Typhoon Lagoon will be opening for its 30th season on Sunday, March 17th, 2019. This also happens to be St. Patrick’s Day, so there will also be a variety of St. Patrick’s Day fun offered at the water park. There will be a fun celebration of “all things green” to commemorate both occasions. There is a fun video below to give guests a sneak peek of what they can expect.

Check out the video:
The Castaway Creek lazy river will be filled with 500 St. Patrick’s Day-themed rubber ducks, and 30 of them will have a special mark on the underside. The 30 lucky guests who find these rubber ducks will be able to redeem them for a free Mickey Mouse ice cream bar. Who doesn’t love a free Mickey Mouse ice cream bar?

For this Sunday only, guests can enjoy green beer and frozen green piña coladas that also happen to pair nicely with the food offering at the park including short-rib, adobo chicken or vegetarian sausage bowls, island burgers or tropical salads with chicken.
Of course the fun attractions at Typhoon Lagoon will be up and running. You can check out the thrilling water coaster, Crush ‘n’ Gusher, take the near-vertical plunge down the Humunga Cowabunga body slides, cruise down Castaway Creek, or catch a wave in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, which also produces swells up to six feet high. Smaller kids will love the Ketchakiddee Creek, a water play area.
