Disney’s Animal Kingdom and other areas around Walt Disney World have been celebrating Disney’s The Lion King! There have been special event offerings like the Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party, a variety of special photo opportunities, food offerings and more. Now we have learned from Disney Parks Blog that there will be new merchandise and a scavenger hunt experience debuting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 19th, 2019. Check out some of the great new merchandise below!

There will be a new Dooney & Bourke collection. It will be available at Mombasa Marketplace and Discovery Trading Company. The collection will include a satchel, crossbody and tote with a pattern that is inspired by The Lion King. They will only be available while supplies last.
Guests will also be able to particpate in a fun new scavenger hunt in Africa. There will be characters hidden throughout Harambe Village and when one is spotted, guests will add the corresponding sticker to the map. The maps will be available at Outpost, Discovery Trading Company, Island Mercantile, and Mombasa Marketplace. Guests can return their completed map to Mombasa Marketplace in Harambe or The Outpost Shop in the Oasis for a special surprise!

Guests can visit locations such as Mombasa Marketplace, Island Mercantile and Discovery Trading Company to purchase new “The Lion King” merchandise inspired by the animated classic.
