This Disney World Show Just Debuted New Acts

The Walt Disney World Resort is home to several incredible live performances. From nighttime spectaculars like Fantasmic! to shows like Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and Disney Junior Live on Stage, there is live entertainment for the whole family to be found at Walt Disney World.

Some of the most beloved shows actually take place outside of the theme parks, like the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness or Cirque du Soleil’s Drawn to Life at Disney Springs. The best part about these shows? You don’t even need to use a Park ticket to experience them, and one of them just debuted new acts.

Drawn to Life by Cirque du Soleil combines the creativity of Cirque du Soleil with the timeless legacy of Walt Disney Animation in a totally original show unique to the Walt Disney World Resort. While the show has been popular for Guests for a couple of years now, it has not received many updates from its original performance until recently.

Spectrum News reported that Drawn to Life has debuted new acts, performers, and even some new music that Guests can see during upcoming trips to Disney Springs. The new additions to the show will include several new acrobatic moves, choreography, and more.

The show’s new acrobatic sequence, called “the Icarian Games,” will serve as a tribute to the animated forests and nature scenes from Disney’s film collection. In the act, performers will launch each other into the air using their legs and feet, all with the visuals and musical sound track that Cirque du Soleil productions are known for.

The second new act, known as Dreams of Color, includes trapeze artists who perform on a suspended wheel and a guitarist, a “flying” one to be specific that will join the performers already featured in the show’s Rhythmic Gymnastics scene.
