The holidays have finally arrived at Walt Disney World! Walking down Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A., Guests will see dazzling lights, garlands, and other decorations.

Festive music can be heard all around Disney World, and seasonal treats are scattered throughout the Parks and Disney Springs.

At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, one of the most iconic holiday displays is being brought to life before our eyes.

The beloved Grand Floridian gingerbread house is nearly here, and Guests are excitedly watching the progress. One Guest, Christina (@advntrs_of_chris on Intsagram), snapped some progress pictures of the display.

The Disney Resort goes through an astonishing amount of sugar, flour, and powdered sugar to create the stunning gingerbread display. Each gingerbread shingle and hand-painted adornment is a testament to the pastry team’s dedication to Guests visiting the Resort.

Although this year’s gingerbread house isn’t ready yet, another edible display has arrived at Walt Disney World.

Over at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the life-sized chocolate carousel is already up. According to Disney, the pastry team uses “100 pounds of icing, 50 pounds of dark chocolate and 36 pounds of honey. Also, 100 pounds of confectioner sugar and 96 pounds of bread flour go into the structure.”

Each year, the carousel is inspired by something different. Last year, the giant edible carousel was inspired by The Little Mermaid (1989).

This year, it appears that the carousel is inspired by Disney princesses. Christina (@advntrs_of_chris on Instagram) also snapped some pictures of this display.
