Cruella Continues to Climb

After an amazing first week at the theatres and on Disney+ Premier Access, Disney’s newest live-action film Cruella didn’t slow down this weekend.

The film earned $3.28 million in its second Friday, a drop of 58%. While that does not sound like great news, it is important to note that last week’s number one film A Quiet Place 2 dropped -69% over the same period and that film is not also available to stream.   Cruella is looking at $11.26 million total for the second weekend, which would only mean a 48% drop.

That is a lot of numbers to say that Cruella’s second week is holding strong which is good news for the long run of the film.  As we mentioned previously, Disney has already green lit a sequel after the film which is all we need to know about how Disney feels about the film.
