The fifth ship of the Disney Cruise Line fleet is going to start selling next summer. Disney has released little bits and pieces of information regularly but hasn’t given us the full picture yet. Their latest announcement makes you wonder if you should pack your snow gear as well as your bathing suit. Today August 27th, 2021, Disney Cruise Line gave more information on the first ever Disney attraction at sea, the AquaMouse.
There will be two brand new animated adventures as part of the water ride. One show that will be part of the attraction will be called “Swiss Meltdown.” Mickey and Minnie will take you on a sledding adventure, but of course, not everything will go according to plan. You will encounter avalanches, waterfalls, and other obstacles. The story of this part of the ride is based on the Mickey short “Yodelberg.” The music will be adapted by Christopher Willis. Make sure to keep your eyes open because there will be plenty of Easter eggs along the way. One to look for is Chip and Dale, who are trying to hitchhike to Castaway Cay.
The maiden voyage will set sail on June 9th, 2022. It sold out before reservations were available to the general public. After that, it will offer three or four night cruises with stops at Nassau in the Bahamas and Castaway Cay. The ship will sail out of Port Canaveral, Florida. Many Guests who enjoy adding a cruise before or after a few days at Walt Disney World. The Disney Wish will also feature a Star Wars themed lounge, a Marvel restaurant, and much more. Cinderella will be the main statue to greet you when you board. Specialty cruises will be offered for Halloween and Christmas. More details on the Disney Wish are sure to be released in the near future.
