If you love learning more about Walt Disney World and how the magic is created, then you will want to check out the Adventures by Disney Backstage Magic Tour where guests get a behind-the-scenes look at attractions, show, parades and more. We have now learned that starting in June, there will be a new experience added to the tour which will feature a backstage look at Rivers of Light, the nighttime show over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests will get a daytime visit to the hidden marina where the animal and lotus barges are staged and ready for the show. Guests will get to see how it all works and get a look at some of the mechanical and technological secrets. During this event, guests will also receive a private lunch at Tiffins Restaurant, which will feature a special menu and insider stories about how the park was created.
If you are curious about what the Backstage Magic Tour is, it is a tour that is led by the Adventure Guides with Adventures by Disney. Guests will get to experience a variety of backstage experience at different parks including:
Epcot: Explore the inner workings of The American Adventure attraction as your guides reveal the feats of engineering and attention to detail behind this inspiring Audio-Animatronics stage show.
Creative Costuming: Observe the talented professionals who design costumes for character, show and parade performers at Walt Disney World Resort.
Central Shops: Explore the facility where engineers, mechanics and artisans develop and maintain all of your favorite attractions, including Audio-Animatronics, ride vehicles and elaborate stage sets.
Magic Kingdom: Become immersed in the story that started with Walt himself as you navigate the “utilidor” tunnels, a network of underground passageways constructed beneath the theme park so Disney Cast Members can move around and preserve the guest experience.
Textile Services: Check out the awesome facility, that is impressive and full of action. This one is only available during the Backstage Magic Tour through the end of May.
