It’s hard to avoid the glimmering Christmas and Hanukkah displays throughout Disney Parks stores. For guests of all ages, it’s tempting to grab each fragile bulb or character-inspired ornament, feeling out the glass or resin that will fit best on your tree.
But last week, one guest’s decoration admiration went too far. In a video that now has thousands of views on TikTok, a young Disneyland Resort guest attempted to play out a skit with a display of Disney ornaments:
@lawhorona Disneyland holiday magic gone wrong. Absolute mortification. Yes ww took responsibility #disneyland #disneyfail #holidayspirit #crash #oops #fyp
“Look Madison, it’s already the Christmas season,” the young girl joked before the ornament she held crashed to the ground, taking a few others with it.
The girl’s guardian (@lawhorona) was embarrassed but immediately admitted their mistake to Disney cast members.
“Disneyland holiday magic gone wrong,” the guest wrote. “Absolute mortification. Yes [we] took responsibility.”

Some viewers grimaced at the sound of broken glass.
“This is why u don’t mess around in stores,” @mother2crazies said.
“We were taught not to touch,” @teddiecoronado agreed.
“When I was a kid my parents would tell us to put our hands on our pockets and not touch a single thing,” echoed @a_neelu.

“I’m not even a father and my heart stopped and I felt anger at the same time,” @kingdeviant97 commented.
But other Disney Parks fans found the video amusing.
“That’ll be $572.83?,” @blueyednative wrote.
“Proud ur instilling good values but it’ll be the coldest day in hell before I tell Disney I need to pay for something I broke,” quipped @michellemabelle01.

“The Mickey Mouse tax claims another victim,” said @kalibat.
“At least it was quiet and nobody noticed,” @johnnybhoh joked.
Luckily, understanding Disney cast members didn’t make the honest guests pay for the ornaments.
“They were very gracious and did not make us pay,” the TikToker wrote.

One Disney cast member explained that this is a common occurrence.
“Trust me, it happens way more often than you think lol,” @lostboybitxh explained. “It just gets thrown to damages or garbage.”
If you accidentally break something in a Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort store, take it to an employee so they can ensure it doesn’t become a safety risk for other guests.
What’s your family’s wildest Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort memory?
