Frozen Land in Hong Kong Disneyland Is Almost Ready

Construction is well underway at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. New drone footage shows massive progress being made on the new expansion. The construction of the Arendalle Frozen Village, Queen Elsa’s Ice Palace, and the North Mountain is nearly completed.

This new land is the largest expansion ever at Hong Kong Disneyland. This will be the world’s first Frozen-themed land, and the anticipation from fans has been building for years. The Frozen land will feature two attractions; Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, which is a family-friendly roller coaster. The land will also have a quick-service restaurant and stores.

Michel Del Dulk, who is the Executive Creative Director for Walt Disney Imagineering, explains, “In this time of happily-ever-after, peace and prosperity have returned to the kingdom of Arendelle, Guests are invited from near and far to take part in this joyous celebration on Summer Snow Day.

New Elsa Animatronic Wows Fans

One of the most exciting updates on Frozen land is the first look at the incredible Elsa Audio-Animatronic. The video released shows just how advanced this technology is; Elsa truly looks more realistic than ever.

Disney Imagineer Amanda Chiu elaborated on the Audio-Animatronic, saying, “I’m so proud of how our team pushed the boundaries to enhance the technology of the Audio-Animatronics figures as we bring this new attraction to Hong Kong Disneyland. Our figure of Elsa takes Audio-Animatronics technology to a whole new level. When you see Elsa performing her signature song, “Let It Go,” her facial expressions and body movements will bring her to life like never before.”

This new update has made fans more excited than ever to see the new Frozen Land in Hong Kong Disneyland debut in its full glory later this year. We have a feeling that many Disney fans from the United States will make the trip abroad to check out this new expansion and visit Queen Elsa and Princess Anna.
