Disney Skyliner at Walt Disney World Opening Fall 2019

Bob Capek, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products has officially announced that the Disney Skyliner will debut in fall 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort!  This is huge, exciting news for guests that will be traveling to Walt Disney World later next year.  The Disney Skyliner is the new gondola system that will connect Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Riviera Resort (the new Disney Vacation Club property).

Disney Skyliner

The Disney Skyliner will provide guests with a new transportation option to get around to these locations.  It will also provide guests with amazing views and photo opportunities from vantage points that you can only get from Disney Skyliner.  Construction is still underway on the system.  Currently workers have installed the last support tower and are beginning to thread the series of reinforced cables to carry guests in the themed gondolas.
