Disney Parks Blog has been posting pocket guides to different Walt Disney World Resorts. It is very handy and can help decide which Resort is best for your next vacation. Lisa Mendillo shared a new one for Disney’s Old Key West Resort:
When visiting Walt Disney World Resort, you know you are in sunny Florida. However, when you step on property at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, you might think you missed your exit and have actually arrived in beautiful Key West. That’s right, next up on our planDisney Pocket Guide tour is this beloved resort. Complete with charming surroundings, spacious rooms, and activities galore, no wonder this is a favorite resort for so many guests.
From studio rooms to a three-bedroom Grand Villa, this resort has more than enough room for your travel party. Multi-generational gathering? No problem, as the Grand Villa will sleep up to 12. They call the Disney Deluxe Villas at this resort a “home base with extra space” for very good reasons. Your family and friends will enjoy a full kitchen, spacious living and dining areas, and separate bedrooms to give everyone a break after a full day in the parks. And don’t forget these villas come complete with a washer and dryer, too!
planDisney Tip: Take advantage of the full kitchen to prepare a great breakfast before everyone heads out to the parks, and store those leftover snacks in the fridge!
Looking for someone else to do the cooking? Be sure to stop by Olivia’s Cafe for an amazing meal. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at this location. If you’re dining for dinner, we recommend the Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken. It is one tasty meal! Quick service is also available at the resort at Good’s Food to Go. Stop in for a quick grab ‘n’ go of American cuisine.
planDisney Tip: Olivia’s Cafe offers an astounding weekend brunch. It is served from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
We said there were activities, and we were not joking. This resort includes the enjoyment of the Sandcastle Pool, as well as three leisure pools. There are campfire activities, bike rentals and even a gym at the resort. The Old Key West Exercise Room is complimentary for guests and includes Life Fitness treadmills, bicycles, ellipticals and stair climbers. Movies Under the Stars is also available here. Be sure to check with the Front Desk for a complete movie schedule list.
