Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Remains Drained

It’s been a warm one so far this June and July in the Sunshine State! While we’ve enjoyed a day at Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park to cool off, we were hoping to experience Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park this summer. We aren’t sure however that is going to happen. The most recent aerial photos of Typhoon Lagoon show the water park remains drained at this time.

As noted on the Walt Disney World website: “As a reminder, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park remains closed at this time. However, Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is now open! Like the other areas of Walt Disney World Resort, we will welcome back Guests and Cast Members to Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park in a responsible way, with a plan focused on health and well-being.”

It’s so strange seeing Typhoon Lagoon from this perspective! We miss the bright blue waters and people enjoying the fun. Disney has yet to give an update on the water park’s reopening. In the meantime, get out there and enjoy Blizzard Beach. Here’s to hoping Typhoon Lagoon returns soon enough!
