Early Registration Begins on July 17th for Walt Disney World’s 2019 Marathon Weekend

Races at Walt Disney World are extremely popular events, with the majority of the events selling out quickly once the registration opens.  If you are lucky enough to be a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, Disney Vacation Club Member or a Golden Oak resident, then you receive an early registration booking window ahead of the official registration opening.  For the 2019 Marathon Weekend, this special registration window will begin on Tuesday, July 17th at Noon EST.  These guests will have 2 days to book in advance for a limited number of early registration spots.  The general registration for the event will open to everyone else on Thursday, July 19th at Noon EST.

More details on the event and the race events offered during the 2019 Marathon Weekend can be found at RunDisney.com.  The big marathon weekend is held in January each year.  If January doesn’t work for your travel plans, then you can also check out the other race events that take place throughout the year.  Among the events are the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, Star Wars Rival Run Weekend and the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.  You can also check out the virtual race options for guests that don’t have trips to Walt Disney World planned, but want to participate in the race fun.
