Enhancements on Disney Park Pass System at Walt Disney World

Credit: Disney

There have been lots of changes coming to Walt Disney World recently. One of those is Annual PassesFor quite some time Walt Disney World was not selling Annual Passes, but recently they announced that they would resume selling them on September 8th 2021. It does look quite different than the passes you may be used to, and there are now only four levels of passes that you can purchase. Only one of those being if you are not a Florida resident or Disney Vacation Club member.

One of the new things that Disney has been doing since reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic closure is a Disney Park Pass System where you are required to have a reservation to enter one of the four main theme parks. Recently it has been easier to grab a reservation since crowds have been low. Walt Disney World recently did give an update to their system. They said:

“In an effort to make the reservation program more seamless, on September 8, 2021, Walt Disney World Resort will introduce an enhanced theme park reservation calendar that shows booked reservations, park availability and blockout dates. All current reservations will be maintained with the ability to make and modify additional new reservations as part of the update.”

This is like the system at Disneyland in California so it will make things easier for Guests to figure out what dates they are eligible to be at the parks. Many of the new passes do have blockout dates, so this should make things more clear for all Guests. This is what it looks like for the calendar at Disneyland Resort in California:

This is a good change that Walt Disney World is doing, and we are looking forward to lots of the new good things that Walt Disney World has to offer. Are you planning on getting an Annual Pass? Let us know on our Facebook page.
