Epcot’s 35th Anniversary celebration is rapidly approaching on October 1st. The theme park first opened on October 1st in 1982. Walt Disney World is holding a major celebration at Epcot to commemorate the occasion. We announced yesterday that guests that will be in the park on October 1st for the celebration will be able to purchase special merchandise exclusively for the event. The merchandise is known as the “I Was There” collection. It is themed after the retro Epcot logo and colors from when the park first opened. Disney Parks Blog has also announced that there will be various other events at the celebration on October 1st to look forward to. We have the roundup of the events that have been announced thus far below.
