We previously announced that Star Wars Celebration Chicago was recently underway. During the event, guests were able to video their Star Wars memories and personal stories at special “Fanfessional” booths. We learned from Disney Parks Blog that the fan videos are being archived to live inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.

The “fanfessional” booths were put in place at the Star Wars Celebration Chicago to give guests a part to be a part of the amazing, themed land. The messages are varied in content, but all focus on how much fans love Star Wars. The messages will be added to a “Holocron” and then permanently placed inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
“We’re doing this because we love our fans and we want the fans to have a way to be part of what we’re creating,” Wendy Anderson from Walt Disney Imagineering said. “It’s been really incredible to see people talk about their heroes and talk about finding themselves. The idea that we’re giving people an outlet for their fandom, that means something.”
For guests who are anxiously awaiting the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, the opening is set for May 31st, 2019 at Disneyland Resort and August 29th, 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios within Walt Disney World Resort.
