We have learned that Flame Tree Barbecue will be the next restaurant to be added to the recently released Mobile Ordering service at Walt Disney World. This makes Flame Tree Barbecue as the third restaurant to be fully onboarded into the system. Mobile Ordering begins on June 20th at the location. This will allow guests to pre-order and pay for their food via the Mobile Ordering service within My Disney Experience. This will prevent guests from having to wait in line to place their order.

When guests use Mobile Ordering and have paid for their meal via the app, then they will be able to push the “I’m Here” button within the app and this will get the kitchen started preparing the meal. The app will then send the guest an alert when the meal is ready and which window to go to in order to retrieve the meal. Currently only credit card payments are allowed via the app. If guests are using one of the Disney Dining plans, then they will have to head to the line as usual to place their order. We have no word yet on when/if that functionality will be added to the system.
Currently Satu’li Canteen and Pizzafari are the only other locations to offer the service. We did report recently that locations within the Magic Kingdom are expected to add the service very soon, too. We expect that the service will definitely get added to restaurants across all 4 of the major Walt Disney World theme parks.
Who out there has used Mobile Order? What do you think so far?
