Goodbye to FastPass+ Signs

Credit: Disney

Many Guests enjoyed using the FastPass+ system, where they could book their fast passes right from their phone in advance and not have to wait in the long standby lines. Since Walt Disney World reopened after the COVID-19 pandemic closure, things looked quite a bit different. One thing that changed was the FastPass+ system. Recently Walt Disney World announced that they would not be bringing back FastPass+ and replacing it with Disney Genie+With Disney Genie+, it will be $15 a day per Guest.

For those who didn’t want to believe it was true, unfortunately, around the parks, they have taken down the FastPass+ signs and replaced them with Lightning Lane signs. Walt Disney World is moving forward with this change, and it may be hard to see those FastPass+ signs go.

There have been quite a few changes with different policies at Walt Disney World. Another one being Annual Passes  On September 8th, 2021, Walt Disney World will start selling Annual Passes again, but they are not the passes you may be familiar with. There will be four different levels of passes and also discounts for Florida Residents and Disney Vacation Club Members. You can find out more information about that hereOne thing that is very different about the new Annual Pass is PhotoPass is no longer included. You will be able to add it to your Annual Pass for an additional $99. All annual passes will include free standard theme Park parking.

Although it is difficult to see some of these changes, there are many exciting things coming up at Walt Disney World for the 50th Anniversary. New firework shows at both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT along with new attractions it is sure to be the World’s Most Magical Celebration
